Front Desk Milieu Staff

The Milieu Staff plays an essential role in creating and maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured environment for clients at Another Chance Clinical Services. This position involves supervising client activities, assisting with group sessions, de-escalating conflicts, and promoting healthy recovery behaviors. The Milieu Staff works closely with the clinical team to ensure clients receive the care and support needed to succeed in treatment. Positions available are for second shift, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. (Note: the first week of onboarding training with be from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor client activities throughout the day to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
• Engage with clients in a positive way to promote participation in recovery activities.
• Support the clinical team in reinforcing treatment goals for individual clients.
• Respond to signs of distress or conflict using approved de-escalation strategies.
• Communicate any safety concerns or incidents to clinical staff promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of client behaviors, and interactions during shifts.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
• Keep the facility clean, organized, and conducive to treatment and recovery activities.

Preferred

• Certified Recovery Mentor or Peer Wellness Certification (preferred)
• One to two years of experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or a similar field is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this role.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• This position requires consistent attendance and effective time management.
